Back to reality

Hello everyone!  I'm sorry for my recent absence, but life is in full swing here.  We had county fair, Simmental Jr. Nationals and now we are gearing up for State Fair.  And trying to get all the stuff done in the middle.  We have gotten straw baled, hay cut and all the cows are preg checked.  Now we are setting up to day wean and then move the cows to a different pasture.
Many of you don't know this but we changed our farm name in December.  So we have finally gotten everything switched over but the tags on the cows.  We will do that when we run them through to vaccinate.  We think we finally have a number system that will work for the different cow families to be identified.  It's exciting the number of great heifers that we were able to hold back for calving this next spring.  And the best part they are all A.I. babies.
Along with the fairs and daily chores of the farm, we are trying to do some fun family time.  We are planning a trip back to Michigan for some beach fun.  And I have a few little trips for the babes and I to do.  And trying to fit it all in before school starts.  Our babes head back on August 17th.  That's always an adjustment.  So I hope you all are having a great day.  I photos to share from the show, our new family addition and just because photos.

Our family photos from Sedalia.
