This is Beauty. She is a full blooded Red Angus. We bought her mom a couple of years ago in Illinois. Funny thing was, she was born somewhere between Illinois and Indiana.
We kept her and dabble in the showing circuit with her. Then off to the pasture to be a momma.
The funny thing about Beauty, I truely belive she doesn't know she's a cow. She is as large as a blimp.
And that's wether she's pregnant or not. And she eats and eats. Not that she needs too.
Oh and she sits like a dog. She has done this forever. It still cracks me up. Sometimes she gets the rest of the way up and sometimes she just lays back down. She's just one of those cows that you love.
And she is as calm as any pet we have.

That is so funny! I don't remember ever seeing a cow that would sit like this, but we did have one that would put her front feet up on the manger and acted like a goat!
That reminds me of a Filly a calf I bottle fed. Of course Mom and Dad kept her. She was short and pudgy. She was so fat that one year we saw her lumbering up the hill to feed. My mom said,"When is she ever going to calve?" We drove over the hill and discovered that she had had twins! Now that is a large cow. I love how your sits. Animals are a hoot.
So funny! I love animals with a totally off the wall personality (not the crazy ones tho).
